Guarded by basset hounds and with a penchant for photography and French philosophy, Jon is the CEO of Moondog. He is an avid strategist, podcaster and ROI-obsessive.
With more than 15 years experience in marketing and communications, Jon started out as an academic, teaching at universities in Sweden and Finland, and completed a PhD in 2004. Not long thereafter he set off to start JontusMedia having juggled a career as a freelance journalist, writer and web developer. For some reason, he felt like 2005 was the right time to jump into content marketing.
An award-winning podcaster, Jon took the decision to rebrand JontusMedia at the end of 2014 to reflect the wider range of marketing services the team had been doing in recent years.
Jon works on the strategic side of client projects, business development and typically has his fingers in many pies on a daily basis. Energetic and creative, he jumps in with content creation – audio, photography and copy – as much as he can.
Finally, Jon is well-known in marketing circles for once saying: “Content marketing is a commitment, not a campaign“.
