In this week’s show I talk to Genecia Alluora Luo, founder of Soul Rich Woman, a platform that aims to empower and connect women entrepreneurs in Asia. Soul Rich Woman provides support, tools and business intelligence for woman entrepreneurs through coaching and courses.
Genecia, a former Miss Singapore-International 2006, shares insights into the role social media, networking and digital know-how played in helping her build a strong online platform. She then talks about how this became the framework for developing an holistic business model designed to help entrepreneurs put the right processes and strategies into place to get their business going.
What first started as a mission aimed to help Singaporean women entrepreneurs has now expanded across Asian and, as you listen, will strike a chord with many small businesses and solo entrepreneurs.
Although I am often wary of online coaches peddling their wares, I wanted to showcase Genecia’s work because I think it will give regular listeners, who are typically from Europe and North America, insight into how Asian entrepreneurs are also using best practice marketing strategies to grow their business. Genecia’s story also emphasises some of the tactics that I’ve been highlighting on the show for several years. In particular, Genecia’s work on social media, and specifically Instagram – where she uses a lot of short video clips – really struck me as a powerful way to generate awareness and interest at the top of the sales funnel, bringing a community together.
