The Game Plan
We were originally approached to carry out a full site audit for IKD to see what could be done to increase sales. The audit included an analysis of IKD’s:
• lead generation
• sales funnel
• landing pages
• search engine optimisation
• and social media presence.
Once we’d compiled our findings, we developed a comprehensive marketing game plan to take IKD forward.
What we’ve done
The first step to making sure IKD was in a better position for success was a website redesign. We also set out to redo the site’s copy.
Moondog wanted to ensure that the site was attractive and user-friendly for visitors, as well as optimised for sale conversion. This involved improving the buyer journey through the site, optimising sales points with call-to-actions.
IKD already had a blog, so Moondog took the existing content and optimised each post with keywords for better search engine results.
Then having optimised the blog, Moondog took over full responsibility for creating content moving forward, writing and publishing 5 – 10 blogs per month.
As of June 2016, the site receives 20,000 visitors per month.
As well as blogging, Moondog has created a number of ebooks for IKD that appeal to potential customers looking to purchase kitchen designs. Ebooks are an important tactic, enabling businesses to implement marketing automation and lead scoring, nurturing prospects through the sales funnel.
5 years after we first started working with them, IKD have become one of our most loyal clients. We continue to provide weekly content for their blog, monitor the site for SEO, measuring and tweaking the sales funnel. We also provide technical and design updates.
Over the last five years we’ve refreshed the site when necessary, made changes to the sales process, and developed IKD’s content marketing.
The results that IKD have seen since we started working with them are outstanding. By redesigning and optimising the site, Moondog have increased organic traffic to the site by over 1000% percent. The increase in traffic, along with ongoing conversion optimisation, improved copy and marketing automation, has seen IKD steadily increase monthly sales. Between July 2015 and June 2016, IKD have doubled their monthly sales.
With a combination of content marketing, SEO, and conversion optimisation, we predict IKD will be able to continue increasing their organic web traffic and increase sales. Inbound methods like social media, ebooks and email campaigns have given IKD a way of sustaining and increasing their reach so they can continue to nurture prospects into customers.
